Welcome to Central Maine Orthopaedics (CMO), one of the largest outpatient facilities dedicated to orthopaedics and musculoskeletal disease in New England. Each of us at CMO has a commitment to excellence and to offering a valued service to our patients. By dedicating ourselves to quality, the management, staff and health professionals of CMO pledge that each and every patient will receive exemplary care.
Housed within the CMO facility is an outpatient surgery center, an ambulatory clinic, the Central Maine Imaging Center, physical therapy and an outpatient laboratory. In addition, CMO is closely affiliated with Central Maine Medical Center and St Mary's Regional Health System.
A driving philosophy of the CMO surgeons has been to ensure that the Central Maine community has local access to the same standard of care available in major metropolitan areas in North America. Surgeons at CMO graduated from the finest medical schools and residency programs and are board certified and fellowship trained in a subspecialty of orthopaedics. Their services include hip and knee replacement, knee and shoulder surgery, hand surgery, foot and ankle surgery, spine surgery, trauma surgery, arthroscopic surgery, and sports medicine. CMO is reviewed and licensed by the State Department of Public Health annually. The facility and program is also Medicare certified and continues to receive national accreditation through the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health care, Inc.
