There is a 24/7 need in every community to treat patients with fractures and other orthopaedic injuries. CMO works with both major hospitals in the Lewiston-Auburn area, as well as hospitals in out-lying areas to provide emergency orthopaedic surgery coverage. Central Maine Medical Center is one of just three regional trauma centers providing care for the most complex trauma in Maine and parts of New Hampshire.
At the heart of that effort, David Brown MD directs the Central Maine Orthopaedics Trauma program.
Dr. Brown graduated from Princeton University and Albany Medical College. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from the Stonybrook Residency Program. He also completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Lahey Clinic.
He also serves on the Maine EMS Trauma Advisory Committee.
