CMO offers a comprehensive sports medicine program for local athletic programs at the recreational, high school, collegiate and professional levels. Our program is led by Paul Cain, M.D. and Patrick Fallon, M.D. Our program integrates the services of our physicians, physician assistants, physical therapist and athletic trainers to provide timely diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of sports related injuries.
Our program currently provides team physician coverage for Bates College, the Lewiston MAINEiacs hockey team and we serve as consultants for regional high school athletic training services.
We are dedicated to helping our patients maintain an active, athletic lifestyle whether they participate at a highly competitive level or simply are looking for fun and exercise.
The Central Maine Orthopaedics Sports Medicine Program includes the following services:
- Timely access to orthopaedic surgeons that specialize in sports medicine.
- On site physical therapy programs through or affiliation with Select Physical Therapy
- Certified athletic trainers for rehabilitation
- Training programs to reduce the risk of knee injuries and improve performance
- Educational Seminars on sports medicine related topics
