Foot and Ankle Program

The care and management of injuries to the foot and lower extremity are among the most complex and demanding aspects of orthopaedic medicine. Under the direction of James Timoney, D.O., CMO offers a comprehensive program of medical and surgical care.

The foot and ankle program specializes in operative and non-operative treatment of diseases and injuries foot and ankle. These include a wide variety of problems such as bunion, hammertoes, flat foot, heel pain, and sports injuries.

While modification of footwear may provide temporary relief, surgery is often the most effective method for eliminating many foot and ankle problems. If your problem has progressed to the point where you have difficulty walking, or experience pain despite corrective shoes, you may need surgery. Foot and ankle surgery, is generally a day surgery procedure that can be done in the Central Maine Orthopaedics Ambulatory Surgery Center.

The Foot and Ankle Program is located in a state of the art orthopaedic treatment center including an onsite ambulatory surgery center, MRI, laboratory and physical therapy center.
