Dr. Samuel Scott is a board certified, fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who joined Central Maine Orthopaedics in 2006 specializing in treatment of conditions affecting the hand and elbow.
Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr. Scott splits his time between Central Maine Orthopaedics and a private practice in South Portland, Maine. He is on the Courtesy Staff of Central Maine Medical Center and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and active staff at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME. He also performs surgery at the Central Maine Orthopaedics Ambulatory Surgery Center, Central Maine Medical Center and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.
Academically, Dr. Scott graduated from Dartmouth Medical School, then completed his residencies and an internship at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and a Hand Surgery Fellowship at Roosevelt-St. Luke's Hospital in NY, NY.
Dr Scott serves as a clinical instructor at the University of New England and Maine Medical Center's Family Practice Residency Program and serves on the Board of Trustees Hurricane Island Outward Bound School.
Dr. Scott is a member of the New England Hand Society, The Maine Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
