Dr. Jeffrey Bush


Dr. Jeffrey Bush is a fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who joined Central Maine Orthopaedics in August of 2006 and currently practices with a focus on primary and revision hip and knee replacement, as well as hip and knee arthroscopy.

He is on the Medical Staff of Central Maine Medical Center, St. Mary's Regional Medical Center and Rumford Hospital, and performs surgery at CMMC, St. Mary's and the Central Maine Orthopaedics Ambulatory Surgery Center. Dr. Bush is also available for consultation at the CMO Orthopaedic Clinic at Rumford Hospital.

A graduate from Jefferson Medical College, Dr. Bush completed a Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Duke University Medical Center. At UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Dr. Bush completed an internship in General Surgery and a Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Prior to his medical training, Dr. Bush graduated from Bucknell University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and from the University of Virginia with a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering.

Dr. Bush recently published articles on minimally invasive hip replacement and revision total knee replacement surgery. He is a member of The Maine Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Bush grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania. Jeff Bush and his brother Matt Bush, also a CMO physician, carry on the family tradition being third generation orthopaedic surgeons. Their grandfather, Leonard F. Bush, founded the orthopaedics department at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. Their father, David C. Bush, still practices hand surgery at Geisinger.
