AUBURN, ME – Aaron Copeland, PA-C, of Central Maine Orthopaedics, will be participating in the 2011 Trek Across Maine to benefit the American Lung Association.

The event, taking place Father’s Day weekend (June 17-19), consists of three days and approximately 180 miles of cycling. The first stage will begin at Sunday River and end at the University of Maine at Farmington. On day two, the riders will leave UMF and head to Colby College. The third and final stage will have participants riding from Colby to Belfast.

“Outside of work, cycling is an activity I really enjoy, so I jumped at the opportunity to participate in an event like this. The fact the event raises so much money for the American Lung Association is a great bonus. They are a fantastic organization and do great work” said Copeland.

To participate in the event, Copeland was responsible for raising $500, with half being donated on his behalf by the Maine Orthopaedic Foundation.

“Aaron is a valuable part of the CMO team, and the Maine Orthopaedic Foundation was very excited about the opportunity to support him in his Trek Across Maine” said Central Maine Orthopaedics CEO Michael H. Cox, Ph.D.

Copeland has worked for Central Maine Orthopaedics since July of 2010. He resides in Lewiston and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
