CMO Donates Food to United Way Pantry Project

AUBURN, ME – Recently, the partners and staff at Central Maine Orthopaedics (CMO) donated nearly 300 pounds of food and personal care items to the United Way of Androscoggin County’s annual “Pack the Pantry” food drive initiative.

The pantry project aims at keeping local food pantries stocked with food and other items past the traditional holiday season. Participating organizations, such as CMO, display shelving units to collect donations of non-perishable food and personal care items. Since its inception, the initiative has raised hundreds of boxes of food, resulting in thousands of meals for families in need throughout the region.

Each box is the equivalent to 47.5 meals, according to April Caron, Director of Development for the local chapter of the United Way.
